Rodney Gallagher
Founder & CEO | Aromatick.com
Rodney Gallagher is a 12-year fragrance collector with a 200+ bottle personal collection and the founder of Aromatick.com. He started with one bottle someone gave him as a gift and has not emotionally recovered since. Everything on this site comes from real wear time, real opinions, and a spreadsheet he probably needs therapy for.
Background
Rodney Gallagher didn't set out to become a fragrance collector. Twelve years ago, someone handed him a bottle as a gift. He wore it, liked it, and made the mistake of wondering what else was out there. That curiosity never stopped. Today, Rodney's personal collection sits at over 200 bottles spanning niche houses, designer flankers, and releases most people have never heard of. He has blind-tested hundreds more. He keeps notes. He tracks batch codes. He sprays things on his wrist at midnight just to see how they dry down. To his family, this is concerning. To the fragrance community, it's just Tuesday. Before founding Aromatick, Rodney spent years working in automotive finance, a career built on understanding value, reading people, and cutting through the noise to find what something is actually worth. That same instinct drives how he sources and authenticates every bottle on the site. If it doesn't pass his personal test, it doesn't ship. Aromatick exists because Rodney got tired of two things: paying full retail for fragrances he could source for far less, and watching newer collectors overpay or get burned on fakes because they didn't know what to look for. The site is his answer to both problems. Every article, review, and recommendation here comes from firsthand experience. No press samples. No paid placements. Just a collector who takes this seriously and thinks you deserve the same honesty he'd want if the roles were reversed.
