Launched in 2018 and since discontinued, Invictus Aqua is the flanker that the collector community consistently describes as "the most drinkable Invictus" — taking the original's grapefruit-marine-ambergris foundation and layering on yuzu for additional citrus brightness and violet leaf for a clean, slightly herbal depth that makes the whole composition smell more natural and less synthetic than the original EDT. The aquatic character is more pronounced and more mineral than the original, and the sweet bubblegum quality that divides opinion on the original is softened in Aqua's more herb-forward formula. Performance is meaningfully stronger than many of the Invictus flankers — consistently rated as better than the original Aqua versions from earlier years. The heart is where Aqua most clearly distinguishes itself from the original. Violet leaf is cool, slightly green, and earthy in a way that makes the whole composition smell more genuinely natural. Consistent with the original Invictus base but slightly crisper and less sweet. Guaiac wood provides smooth, slightly smoky woodiness. Ambergris extends the salty skin warmth. Patchouli grounds the composition. Longevity: 5 to 7 hours; performance consistently rated above many Invictus flankers.

The yuzu-grapefruit opening is immediately more vivid and more nuanced than the original EDT. As violet leaf and marine notes develop through the heart, the fragrance takes on a cleaner, more herbal, and more genuinely aquatic character. It’s long lasting and smell super good
I started wearing this fragrance about 10 months ago and from day 1 till now I get many many compliments about how great I smell from friends, family and strangers. I have even gotten a few more lady friends who enjoy spending time with me - granted it hasn't led to any additional "benefits" but the pleasant aroma and little boosts to my self confidence through out the day are more than worth it. I wish it didn't fluctuate so much in price but it is what it is.

While you can wear any cologne you want, whenever you want, I feel Invictus Aqua is the perfect casual scent. Could easily be worn in the office as well (just go easy on the sprays) or even on a date.

This is Invictus Aqua 2018 so everyone is clear.Personally, that hasn't mattered to me. I still get phenomenal performance and thoroughly enjoy this scent, can actually wear the 2018 one somewhat more casual than 2016 as long as your careful with the trigger.Still a great scent and Cologne, my current summer going out or casual night out go too.
