Meet Meridian (2026): Our Louis Vuitton Afternoon Swim–Inspired Eau de Parfum
I've collected fragrance for twelve years, and I founded Aromatick to sell authentic decants of the scents I love. Meridian is the third fragrance we've released under our own name, and it's the one built for hot days. Here's what it is, what it isn't, and how to find out whether it works on you before you spend $44.99.
What is Meridian?
Meridian is an eau de parfum from Aromatick, released on October 15, 2026. Its style is the one Louis Vuitton made famous with Afternoon Swim: cold, juicy citrus, a fresh ginger kick and a clean finish that smells like sun-warmed skin after a swim. It's the scent of a pool day in a bottle.
| Profile | Details |

Why we made it
Afternoon Swim is one of the most wanted summer scents out there, and its price is what keeps most people from wearing it all season. Louis Vuitton's US site lists it at $360 for 100ml as of October 2026. That's a lot for a fragrance you'll go through quickly because you want to spray it every warm day.
Paying more for LV is a fair choice. It gets you Jacques Cavallier Belletrud's composition, the refillable bottle and the boutique experience. But much of a luxury fragrance's price pays for the name, the campaigns and the flagship stores, not the liquid inside. (We break that down in why Louis Vuitton fragrances are so expensive.) Meridian is our answer for people who want that bright citrus-aquatic feel as a daily summer scent at a price they can reorder without thinking about it.
What it smells like, hour by hour
First 20 minutes: mandarin, orange & bergamot
The first spray is pure sunshine: cold, juicy, just-peeled citrus. Not the candy kind of orange, the kind you eat by the pool, with bergamot giving it lift. It's the "wow" moment.
20 minutes to 2 hours: ginger & an aquatic accord
Fresh ginger keeps the citrus from going sweet, and a clear, watery accord adds that splash of pool water. It stays cool and bright, which is what makes it so easy to wear in heat.
2 hours onward: ambergris
The base settles into an ambergris note: clean, slightly salty and warm, like skin that's been in the sun all afternoon. (Curious what ambergris actually is? See what is ambergris.) It keeps Meridian from disappearing after the first hour.
Meridian vs. Afternoon Swim: an honest comparison
I'm not going to claim Meridian is identical. Nobody outside Louis Vuitton has their formula, and anyone who says they've matched it exactly is selling you something. Here's what you can expect side by side:
| Meridian | Afternoon Swim | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | $44.99 / 50ml | $360 / 100ml |
| Price per ml | ≈ $0.90 | ≈ $3.60 |
| Key notes | Mandarin, ginger, ambergris | Bergamot, orange, ginger (LV's official list) |
| Full notes | Mandarin, orange, bergamot, ginger, aquatic accord, ambergris | Mandarin, Sicilian orange, bergamot, ginger, aquatic notes, ambergris (per Parfumo) |
| Bottle | 50ml glass bottle in a black gift tube | Refillable LV bottle |
| Made by | Aromatick, Port St. Lucie, FL | Louis Vuitton, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud |
Where they line up: the idea and the main notes. Both are built on mandarin, orange and bergamot with a ginger kick and a clean, ambery-skin finish. If you like Afternoon Swim for that cold-citrus, pool-day feeling, Meridian follows it.
Where they differ: Louis Vuitton's own key notes for Afternoon Swim are just bergamot, orange and ginger, so the original is all about the citrus. Meridian gives its aquatic accord and ambergris base a little more room, so it reads slightly more watery in the heart and warmer on the skin as it dries down.
Performance & longevity
Meridian is rated for 6+ hours on skin, and longer on clothing. Like most bright citrus scents, it's loudest in the first hour, then settles into a clean skin scent that's noticeable up close. Three to four sprays to the neck, chest and wrists, plus one on your shirt, is the way to wear it.
When to wear it
Meridian is at its best in spring and summer, and year-round in warm climates. Think beach, pool, vacation, weekends, daytime dates and the office in summer. It's sold as unisex, and the citrus-aquatic profile wears that way.
How it's made (and how we check it's safe)
We blend, bottle and label Meridian by hand in small batches in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Here's what that means in practice:
- True eau de parfum strength: 20% fragrance concentrate in perfumer's alcohol, with no water added. (Not sure what that means? See EDT vs. EDP.)
- IFRA compliant: Meridian meets the IFRA Standards (51st Amendment) for fine fragrance. The IFRA certificate, the EU allergen declaration and the safety data sheet are all linked on the Meridian product page.
- Full ingredient disclosure: the complete ingredient list, including the declared allergens, is on the product page. We follow EU labeling rules, which go further than US rules require. If you have a known fragrance sensitivity, patch-test first.

Meridian launched on October 15, 2026, so it doesn't have any Judge.me reviews yet. I'd rather show you none than borrow quotes from somewhere else. If you try it, the first review on the Meridian product page is yours, good or bad.

A launch post that only lists positives isn't much help, so here's who should skip it:
- If the Louis Vuitton bottle is part of the appeal. The refillable bottle and the name on the glass are real value that Meridian doesn't try to replace.
- If you need all-day staying power. Meridian is a bright summer scent rated for 6+ hours. If you want something that's still going at midnight, Daydream or Horizon last longer.
- If aquatic scents aren't your thing. If "fresh and watery" reads as generic to you, Meridian won't change your mind. Try Aura for citrus with spice instead.
- If you want warm or cozy. Meridian stays cool and bright. For citrus that turns warm, Daydream is the better match.
The rest of the Aromatick Originals
Meridian is one of four eau de parfums in the Aromatick Originals collection, all at the same prices:
- Horizon: grapefruit, ginger and Ambroxan, inspired by L'Immensité. Read the launch post.
- Daydream: citron, black tea and Ambroxan, inspired by Imagination. Read the launch post.
- Aura: mandarin, pink pepper and vetiver, inspired by Météore. Read the launch post.

FAQ
What does Aromatick Meridian smell like?
A bright citrus aquatic. Mandarin, orange and bergamot open it, fresh ginger and an aquatic accord form a cool, splashy heart, and an ambergris note gives a clean, sun-warmed skin finish.
Does Meridian smell like Louis Vuitton Afternoon Swim?
It's inspired by Afternoon Swim and follows the same idea: cold, juicy citrus with a ginger kick and a clean finish. It isn't identical. Louis Vuitton's own key notes for Afternoon Swim are bergamot, orange and ginger, so the original stays almost all citrus, while Meridian leans a little more on its aquatic accord and ambergris base.
How long does Meridian last?
6+ hours on skin and longer on clothing. It's bright for the first hour, then settles into a clean skin scent that's noticeable up close. Spraying your shirt as well helps it last longest.
Is Meridian an eau de parfum?
Yes. Meridian is an eau de parfum with a 20% fragrance concentrate in perfumer's alcohol and no added water. It's blended, bottled and labeled by hand by Aromatick in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and its IFRA certificate, allergen declaration and safety data sheet are on the product page.
How much does Meridian cost compared to Afternoon Swim?
Meridian is $44.99 for 50ml, about $0.90 per ml, with smaller sizes from $8.99 for 5ml. As of October 2026, Louis Vuitton's US site lists Afternoon Swim at $360 for 100ml, about $3.60 per ml.
Is Meridian unisex?
Yes. Its citrus and aquatic profile wears well on anyone, and it's sold as a unisex fragrance.
The bottom line
Meridian is our take on one of the best summer citrus profiles out there: cold mandarin and orange, a ginger-aquatic splash, and a clean, sun-warmed ambergris finish. It's blended by hand at eau de parfum strength, IFRA-checked, and priced at about a quarter of Afternoon Swim per ml. It isn't Louis Vuitton, and it isn't a beast-mode projector. If the scent matters more to you than the logo, try the 5ml for $8.99 before you buy the full 50ml.
