Coral Fantasy (2022) is the Born in Roma flanker that converted a lot of people who found the original too salty. Perfumers Nicolas Beaulieu and Jean-Christophe Hérault opened it with red apple, cardamom and Calabrian bergamot, built a classic fougère heart of Bourbon geranium, lavender and clary sage, and grounded it in tobacco leaf, Haitian vetiver and patchouli. The coral-to-clear ombré bottle is the giveaway.
It occupies the most versatile slot in the family. The original is coastal and mineral; Yellow Dream is pure sunshine; the Intense is a night-out vanilla. Coral Fantasy goes from office to dinner without changing gears — fruity enough to feel fun, tobacco-backed enough to feel grown-up.
