Green Stravaganza is the most stripped-back pyramid Valentino has put on the Born in Roma line: Calabrian bergamot, a coffee accord, and vetiver. That's it. Nathalie Lorson and Olivier Cresp — two of the most commercially successful noses working today — built it as an amber fougère with a barbershop-meets-espresso-bar mood, housed in the studded bottle tinted sage green.
The interesting thing is how differently people experience it. Some reviewers get a clear roasted espresso note from the first spray; others say the coffee barely registers and the composition reads as a softly sweet, green vetiver.
