Composed by Antoine Maisondieu, Nadège Le Garlantezec, and Shyamala Maisondieu — the same trio behind the original Paradoxe. Radical Essence keeps the Paradoxe family's signature neroli-forward DNA but strips the structure down: instead of a multi-floral heart and an amber-musk base, you get a single luminous neroli-and-orange-flower opening that melts into a salted pistachio heart. The pistachio accord is the surprise — gourmand and slightly savory at once, like a pistachio gelato eaten on a warm afternoon. The base is creamy sandalwood, soft and lingering. Parfum concentration means everything sits closer to skin but lasts longer than the EDPs.

For someone who already owns the original Paradoxe and wants something more unexpected. The pistachio note divides opinion — collectors either love it or wish it were jasmine. Radical Essence is the most polarizing Paradoxe — and probably the most interesting. Prada's perfumers took the family's neroli signature and crossed it with a gourmand note (salted pistachio) that no major designer has built a fragrance around. It either reads as genuinely innovative or genuinely weird, depending on the wearer.
Here's the test: if you smell the dry-down on a blotter and want to take another sniff, you'll wear this. If you're indifferent, the pistachio probably isn't for you. The sandalwood base is the safety net — even people who don't love the pistachio still tend to like the dry-down, which is creamy, woody, and very wearable.
This is a Parfum-strength fragrance, so it behaves differently than the EDPs: less projection, more longevity, and the note structure is more linear (it doesn't shift dramatically through the day). Great for someone who wants a signature scent that's recognizable without screaming for attention.
